Team Two is an endearing, emotional Midwestern math rock four-piece who are sonically motivated to convey various feeling states; this motive is portrayed through their expansive, movement-based arrangements that incorporate elements of shoegaze, folk, jazz, blues, noise, psych rock, and melodic aggro punk. What may begin with angular guitar parts, distorted dissonance, and odd meter might lead the listener to careful, smooth, wet, warm tones, breathing sweetness, like the serene summer air after a storm. With deeply resonant lyrics about some of the trying aspects of the human condition—homesickness, intimacy, lack, nightmares—it's hard not to feel something in an impactful way at one of their shows. On June 13th, 2020, they will be releasing their first full-length album entitled “demley” on all streaming platforms, physical CDs, and two songs will be available on vinyl.
